As an aviation professional, researcher or educator, this conference is an excellent opportunity to join the university-industry-international organization dialogue about issues of mutual concern. The conference program will include speakers and panels from industry, government and academia. An Outcomes-Based Training Workshop will be held Thursday morning, February 18. During the Workshop, Assistant Professor Tom Garza from Louisiana Tech University will give a special “Lessons Learned” presentation. Plan now to attend! Following the Members Luncheon Thursday afternoon, the Industry/Educator Forum will be held. The Forum has been a useful device for AABI to maintain alignment between the aviation industry and educator member institutions, ultimately serving the interests of graduates of those institutions. By analyzing changes occurring in this dynamic industry and selecting topics for the Forum that are relevant to the preparation of future aviation professionals, AABI assures that curricula and criteria for accreditation remain relevant. The formal cycle of summer presentation by industry members and winter responses from educators keeps all stakeholders engaged in this important exchange. Dr. Mary Niemczyk, Arizona State University, will moderate the Educators Response. Contact Ceci Shirley or Vic Bayens at 334-844-2431 with questions or if we can be of assistance in any way. Conference information is available now- just click on "News & Calendar" right here, or on the red navigation barabove to access the meeting files! See you in Auburn, Alabama!
