At its meeting in January 2013, the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) Board of Directors reviewed the recommendation of the CHEA Committee on Recognition regarding the recognition application submitted by the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI). The Board of Directors accepted the Committee’s recommendation and recognized AABI. CHEA is a private, nonprofit national organization that coordinates accreditation activity in the United States. CHEA is an association of 3,000 degree-granting colleges and universities and recognizes 56 institutional and programmatic accreditors.
